Winning our First Gong at the Event Technology Awards
We were thrilled to be presented with the award for Best Admission & Visitor Management Technology on Friday 15th October at the 2013 Event Technology Awards.
Crowning an incredible year for IVS and contactless technology in the live event space, this award recognises our past and ongoing work at Goodwood Festival of Speed. This was just one of numerous activations successfully completed by IVS in an incredible year that saw our technology in use at The Ashes, Isle of Wight Festival, Queen’s College Cambridge May Ball and many more.
IVS is steadily emerging as a market leader in event technology having seen off competition from suppliers to the MTV European Music Awards, Farnborough Airshow and The Event Production Show, amongst others in this category.
Upon receiving the award Paul Pike, Director of Intelligent Venue Solutions commented: “We’ve been thrilled by the performance of, and reaction to, our technology this year. It’s a true perk of the job to see both clients and attendees’ experiences at events both improved by what we can offer. To go a step further and to receive an award like this is an extra layer of icing on the cake that we’re really honoured by. We’re looking forward to further implementing RFID and contactless technology within the events sector throughout 2014.”
We were also shortlisted for the Best Use Of RFID and Best Use Of Social Media categories.
With one win successfully under our belts, the IVS team now turns its attention to the UK Festival Awards on Monday 2nd December where we have been shortlisted in the ‘Best Use of New Technology’ award category, in recognition of our work on behalf of Barclaycard at the British Summer Time events in London’s Hyde Park.
IVS director Paul Pike will be taking part in two panel sessions at the UK Festival Conference on the day of the UK Festival Awards – ‘Cashing Out – A Revolution in Payment Methods‘ and ‘The Tech Blast’.
