Delivering ground-breaking visitor tracking to The Skills Show at the NEC Birmingham
Intelligent Venue Solutions [IVS] has successfully completed a tender process with World Skills UK that will see the contactless payments, access and social media solutions provider design, integrate and deliver a visitor tracking system for The Skills Show 2013, taking place at the NEC Birmingham between 14-16 November 2013. The system will place Skills Show visitors at the heart of the technology by providing solutions designed to enhance their on-site experience at the country’s flagship, national event for further education, skills and apprenticeships.
The development of electronic ‘touch points’ integrated into each exhibition unit, is just one of many bespoke features created by IVS to analyse visitor behaviour to trigger a more personalised engagement with them post-event. The system will continue the visitors’ experience by offering the ability to create a personalised storage database of the exhibitors at the show that were of interest to them and allowing them access to this information via a personalised activity journey once the event has finished.
IVS’ technology for contactless payments, access and social sharing has been revolutionising the live event space throughout 2013 with over 28 events, including T In The Park, V Festival, WOMAD, British Summer Time, Snowbombing and The Isle of Wight festivals, the UEFA Champions League Final, Queens College Cambridge May Ball, The Ashes, Goodwood Revival, Newcastle University Student Union, the BBC Proms and many more featuring the system.
Over 1 million wristbands have been activated so far this year processing in the region of 80,000 cashless transactions, which in turn saw a value of over £2.5 million pass through the IVS payment systems. Harnessing the ever-increasing power of social media, every automated Facebook post generated by wristband interaction at events reached an average audience of 476 other users.
