Providing contactless access, payments and experiences at the Mercury Prize with Barclaycard
IVS was thrilled to return to Barclaycard The Mercury Prize to provide an integrated access, payment and customer experience solution, working on behalf of Barclaycard.
The Barclaycard Mercury Prize saw over 1,000 high profile guests from the music industry celebrate the great British albums releases of the past 12 months on Wednesday 30th October. The event took place at London’s Roundhouse.
All guests were given a PayBand, an RFID-enabled wristband, which they could use to scan-in and out of the venue, and as a form of cashless payment to order drinks in the event. Those suitably privileged to have a table could also scan their wristband at one of the smart ‘table finder’ devices to locate their seats.
This year’s Barclaycard Mercury Prize was won by James Blake. The shortlist included Rudimental, Laura Marling, Laura Mvula, Disclosure, Arctic Monkeys and Jake Bugg.
Daniel Mathieson, head of sponsorship at Barclaycard rated the deployment “a fantastic delivery“.
