The European Festival Awards: Our first continental RFID deployment

On Wednesday the 9th January 2013 at Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen, Netherlands, Intelligent Venue Solutions provided the European Festival Awards with an RFID Access and Cashless System.

Guests could then smart-tap at the ‘In-Site’ Table Finder to see where they were to be seated during the gala dinner and awards ceremony, which proved not only to be useful but extremely popular. The funds loaded onto the wristbands could be spent at the bar during the ceremony and after-show party. Balancer-checking units were located at each bar so guests could keep an eye on their spending.

Feedback from guests in attendance was universally positive with Igor Van Krieken, promoter of Optimus Alive Festival (Portugal) remarking: “The cashless system was very smooth and easy to learn“.
